Warren JFK came up short against Cornerstone Christian in the Division VII Regional Final, 42-32, Friday at Barberton High School.

After trailing 26-11 at halftime, the Eagles made a comeback. Kennedy trailed 32-25 at the end of the third quarter and cut the deficit to 32-30 in the fourth quarter with over six minutes left in regulation. The Eagles were unable to close it out down the stretch going scoreless in the final three minutes.

"It's unfortunate they didn't get it but they earned every step of the way and I'm very proud," said Mark Komlanc, Warren JFK head coach. "They got it back to one possession. We just couldn't make shots when it counted and hats off to them but I think our guys played a phenomenal second half."

Senior Nick Ryan led the Eagles with 16 in the loss and Christian Swogger added six.

Cornerstone Christian's Quinn Kwasniak led the way with 22 points.

Kennedy falls in the regional final for the second year in a row. They close out the season at 17-10 overall.

Cornerstone Christian advances to the state final four.
