Two people were taken to the hospital Sunday morning after an overnight fire in Petersburg.

Flames broke out in a detached garage at a home along Waterford Road just after midnight.

Firefighters from Poland, Springfield and Western Reserve were called to battle the flames.

The two victims were taken to the hospital due to smoke inhalation.

The garage was significantly damaged.
