A list of 352,389 inactive voter registrations eligible for removal from the Statewide Voter Registration Database has been published by the office of Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose.

"Ohio leads the nation in ensuring an accurate voter registration list," said Secretary LaRose. "This careful and deliberate process makes sure that every eligible voter can cast their ballot while removing outdated registrations that could compromise election integrity."

Ohio voters should know that no inactive voter registrations will be canceled before the May 2025 Primary Election and cancellations will occur on September 23, 2025.

Voters affected were also sent a "Registration Readiness Notice", they can maintain their registration by either voting or updating their information, and you can search through the Registration Readiness List on the link here.

Eligible voters are identified through the National Change of Address (NCOA) database which identifies voters who have been inactive for four years and the Supplemental Process which identifies voters with six years of inactivity.

The NCOA process involves comparing voter rolls of the board of elections with the USPS database to find voters who moved and failed to update their voting registration.

Those removed from voting registration can re-register at any time as long as they are an eligible elector in the State of Ohio.

"Ohioans deserve transparency and accuracy in this process, and through the hard work of our county boards of elections, that's exactly what we deliver," said Secretary LaRose.
