Hubbard man arrested in child sex sting pleads guilty

A Hubbard man who was arrested following a child sex sting back in January of 2024 has pled guilty.
According to the Trumbull County Prosecutor's Office, 45-year-old Jonathan Bellow pled guilty to a charge attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. He will be sentenced following a background check.
Prosecutors are recommending a maximum prison sentence of 18 months. Bellow will also be declared a Tier 2 sex offender meaning he will have to register with the Trumbull County Sheriff's Office twice a year for the next 25 years.
The charges stem from a child sex sting conducted in January of 2024 conducted by multiple organizations including New York Creeps Spotlight, Predator Catchers PA, Veteran Against Pedophiles and Predator Hunters Indiana.
The sting operation was conducted at the West Park Manor Apartments in Hubbard when a group member posed as a 14-year-old girl with the two sharing inappropriate text messages and arranged to meet up for sex.
