A Greenville man pled guilty to a hit and run crash that injured three people in Vernon Township.

According to the Trumbull County Prosecutor's Office, 35-year-old Joshua Butler pled guilty to charges of aggravated vehicular assault, failure to stop after an accident, OVI, assault and possession of a fentanyl-related compound.

State Troopers said back in July of 2024, Butler was driving a pickup truck on SR-7 in Vernon Township when it veered off the road and forced an oncoming SUV off the road and into a ditch.

Troopers said Butler never stopped for the accident.

Three members of a family from Masury were in the SUV with all of them being taken to the hospital for injuries.

Butler is scheduled to be sentenced March 25. Both the defense and prosecution are recommending a sentence of five to seven and a half years in prison.
