Oyster crackers sold at various Valley retail outlets have been recalled to the potential presence of foreign materials in the crackers.

According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), oyster crackers sold at stores including Target, Walmart and Giant Eagle have been recalled due to the potential presence of stainless steel wire in the crackers.

The recalled products were sold at retailers in several different states including Ohio and Pennsylvania.

The recalled products have various labels depending on where they were purchased with products sold at Target being labeled as "Market Pantry," Walmart's being labeled "Great Value" and Giant Eagle's being labeled "Vista."

All recalled products came in flexible plastic bags and had expiration dates of May 24, 2025.

The recall is classified as Class II, which the FDA says applies to products that may cause temporary or reversible health adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote.
