Honduran man arrested in Campbell, charged with illegal re-entry after multiple deportations

A Honduran man with a history of deportations has been arrested in Campbell, Ohio, and charged with illegal re-entry into the United States, according to federal court documents.
Dino De Laurentis Rivera-Lopez, 43, also known as Jorge Palmero Rivera Lopez, was arrested March 11 after appearing in Campbell Municipal Court for a minor citation, according to an affidavit filed by Homeland Security Investigations.
The affidavit details a series of deportations and re-entries by Rivera-Lopez dating back to 2000. According to the document, an immigration judge first ordered Rivera-Lopez removed from the U.S. in February 2000 after he entered the country near Laredo, Texas, in October 1999. He was subsequently deported.
The affidavit states that Rivera-Lopez illegally re-entered the U.S. multiple times, including in March 2000, January 2019, and most recently, before his March 2025 arrest. He was deported in 2018 and 2020.
Federal authorities allege that Rivera-Lopez was encountered by Campbell Police on March 7, 2025, and issued a citation for failing to keep his dog on a leash, requiring him to appear in municipal court.
According to the affidavit, Rivera-Lopez admitted to being deported three times and stated he did not receive permission to re-enter the United States.
Rivera-Lopez is charged with violating U.S. law making it illegal to re-enter the United States after deportation. He remains in the Mahoning County Jail awaiting a hearing in U.S. District Court.
