Jimmy's Italian eatery to offer late night summer hours, new menu, entertaiment in Liberty Twp.

With warm weather comes the yearning to sit outside and enjoy the season.
One Belmont Avenue business is expanding its weekend hours to allow you to do just that.
Jimmy's Italian Specialties announced Monday that it will stay open late on Fridays and Saturdays, starting in June and running through the end of August, for what they are calling Jimmy Nights.
The new hours will be from 5 pm to 9 pm, with last orders for food and drinks at 8:30 pm.
Jimmy's owner Frank Occhibove told 21 News that this is something the public has been asking for for years: a place where people can come and enjoy the warm summer evenings, eat, drink, and enjoy some listen to music as well.
Occhibove told 21 News, "La Piazza" is the 'town Square' in Italy that each small town has. It's a gathering place where locals can go, sit back, relax, and enjoy some good food and drinks. We are trying to create the same feel here in the Valley."
Occhibove also said if the extended hours are popular enough, the store may extend the hours through September.
The store will also offer a new evening menu that includes fresh, made-to-order pizzas, small plates, and wine. They will also offer flights of wine and flights of spritz.
Entertainment will be available on certain evenings and announced as planned. The store will also offer special themed evenings, such as "A Night in Tuscany," that will have special drinks and food from different regions. Special themed evenings will be announced and shared on Jimmy's social media sites.
