Juvenile struck by gunfire on Youngstown's west side

Police in Youngstown are investigating after a juvenile was struck by gunfire on Youngstown's west side Wednesday night.
According to a police report, officers responded to the 2800 and 2900 Blocks of Eddie Street for multiple calls of gunfire just after 11:30 p.m.
When police got there, they found and stopped a Chevy Malibu with several bullet holes in it including the back driver's side window, the front driver's side door, both passenger side doors, the hood and the frame of the front passenger side door.
Police spoke with the two occupants of the vehicle who told them the shooting happened just down the street westbound. Police eventually found a Kia Soul stuck in the mud of a yard with two bullet holes in the front and back driver's side doors.
A handgun, along with four shell casings were also located in the yard near the car and on the front porch step.
Officers spoke with an occupant of the house who told police he and his 12-year-old brother were the only ones in the house. The occupant declined to let police inside to check for more people.
Soon after this, officers were told by dispatch that a juvenile showed up to the hospital with a gunshot wound. The report does not specify the juvenile's condition.
At this time, no arrests have been made and no suspects have been named.
YPD also responded to another vehicle shot up on the city's east side earlier that same evening. You can learn more about that shooting here.
