Just two days after Craig Beach's police chief, as well as several other officers with the department announced their resignations, law enforcement is investigating allegations against the department.

Mahoning County Sheriff Jerry Greene tells 21 News sheriff's deputies seized computers from the Craig Beach Police Department after allegations that data was being deleted from them.

These allegations were allegedly brought forward by village officials.

Sheriff Greene did not know exactly what data if any was allegedly being deleted, but an investigation into the matter is ongoing.

This comes just two days after Craig Beach Police Chief Kyle Pettus alongside Commander Crystal Casterline, Lieutenant Richard Johnson Sergeants Renatta Griffith and Michael Hudson and Patrolman Ernest Hudson all announced their resignation from the police department earlier this week.

These resignations stemmed from the chief and the officers feeling like the village was not supporting the police department citing issues like Village Council not supporting purchasing new cruisers for the department.
