The Newton Falls Schools administration recently decided to offer some clarity regarding rumors about their upcoming College Credit Plus (CCP) course offerings.

Some school staff members had gone to Facebook to complain about CCP cuts for programs in their field due to "issues with the pay structure," according to Superintendent Andreas Johansson.

However, negotiations with CCP course providers including Kent State, Youngstown State, and Stark State Universities were still ongoing and according to administration these complaints were "unconfirmed" & "inaccurate".

So Superintendent Johansson sent a broadcast email out to members of the school district dashing the rumors and revealing that courses were being added rather than cut with an additional nine offerings.

He also made clear that for any information regarding CCP people should contact a guidance counselor, a principal, or himself directly rather than "individual staff members".

"I understand emotions were high..." said Johansson

Johansson stressed that as Superintendent he wants to ensure information regarding educational programs remains clear and honest for students' benefits.
