The Grove City Board of School Directors has decided to continue with a project that would see the schools get a renovation to their fitness center.

"I am looking forward to this layer of our renovation and equipment purchase," said Dr, Joshua Weaver, GCASD assistant superintendent.

In addition, the board also approved the purchase of $103,000 in fitness equipment to stock the new facility.

The project is funded using donations and sponsorships collected earlier this year.

"A great deal of time, effort, and energy has gone into outfitting our student body with a fitness center upgrade. This space should serve our physical education classes and sports programs much better moving forward," said Weaver.

Last month, the renovation project was put on hold last month as the board realized it needed more time to collect thoughts from school faculty and to plan out the renovation.
