The Trumbull Community Action Program (TCAP) will hold an event on Wednesday, April 16, to assist employees impacted by the recent closure of Insight Health Systems hospitals in Trumbull County.

The event, aimed at helping former Insight employees with food needs and past-due bills, will take place at the Restoration Christian Fellowship Church in Warren from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

TCAP is offering food vouchers and assistance with past-due utility and rent payments.

To be eligible for assistance, individuals must bring the following documentation: a photo ID, a Social Security card, income documents from the last 30 days, their March 14, 2024, paystub, and a union letter or dismissal letter confirming their job loss due to the hospital closure.

TCAP will assist the first 50 people who arrive at 10 a.m. and another 50 people who arrive at 2 p.m. on a walk-in basis.

Insight Health Systems suspended services at its Trumbull County hospitals more than two weeks ago.

Union officials have since reported that employees have received their pay and that communication with the company has improved.
