Disciplinary action has been taken against a Youngstown firefighter who was recently indicted on a worker's compensation fraud charge.

According to a letter from the city addressed to Youngstown firefighter Patrick Bundy, Bundy will be suspended from work without pay for six weeks between Sunday, April 20 and Saturday, May 31.

Bundy will return to work Sunday, June 1.

This punishment stem from an indictment filed in the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas in February of 2025 accusing Bundy of committing worker's compensation fraud and theft.

While Bundy has not been convicted of these alleged offenses in a court of law, the city conducted a meeting where testimony was provided in Bundy's defense according to the letter.

The letter states that after careful review of the testimony, it was determined that the unpaid six-week suspension was warranted.

According to Franklin County Court Records, a criminal trial for Bundy has been set for May 8.
