Sentencing Thursday for Youngstown man convicted of killing victim found dumped in cemetery

A 40-year-old Youngstown man will find out what his punishment will be after a jury found him guilty of murdering a man on Youngstown’s East Side last year, and dumping the victim’s body in a cemetery.
A sentencing hearing is scheduled Thursday afternoon for Andre Bailey before Mahoning County Common Pleas Court Judge Scott Krichbaum.
Bailey was convicted last month of aggravated murder, murder, robbery, tampering with evidence, and a weapons violation in connection with the death of 24-year-old Reynaldo Hernandez in October 2024.
According to the Mahoning County Prosecutor's Office, Hernandez was shot and killed at a home on Bott Street in October of 2024 after Bailey accused Hernandez of stealing money from him.
The prosecution says several others were in the home at the time, with some of them taking Hernandez to the Mount Hope Veterans Memorial Park near Liberty Road and Wardle Avenue. Police found his body there the following day.
