Burke Decor, the Boardman-based online home goods retailer that has come under scrutiny over unfilled orders, has taken nearly all content off of its web site.

As of this week, visitors to burkedecor.com are met with a single page with no menu that simply reads "Thank you for visiting. We are not currently accepting new orders. Please contact us with client inquiries," along with a button to contact client services through email.

Burke has struggled to keep up with customer orders over the past year, first announcing plans to restructure in March of 2024 in order to "raise outside capital, reduce debt and restructure operations to improve profitability in the current economic environment."

At that time, the company outlined a seven-point plan to turn the company around, acknowledging difficulties they blamed on high interest rates and changes to outside partners such as Google and Meta. That plan involved hiring an outside consulting firm, Investment Bankers and Restructuring Advisers.

However, Burke's problems continued to compound, with a slew of complaints from online customers from around the country leading to an "F" rating by the Better Business Bureau, an online group forming to share stories of items either not delivered or refunds not received and a lawsuit from a private lender, Ampla, over an alleged default on an $8.2 million loan.

In December of 2024, FedEx also sued the company, claiming they were owed over $1.6 million for "goods and services" that was never paid.

Company founder and owner Erin Burke filed for personal bankruptcy in July of 2024.

In March of 2025, Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost filed suit against the company in March 2025 on behalf of more that 350 customer complaints of more than $380,000 in goods not delivered and refunds not received. That lawsuit is still pending .

21 News has reached out to Erin Burke via email, but have not received any response as of 1:43 p.m. Friday afternoon. If and when a response comes, this story will be updated to include any response.

A Facebook page for "The Outlet by Burke Decor," located on Market Street in Boardman lists a phone number of 330-506-5397 that had posted about a Spring sale as recently as April 8. No one answered that number when 21 News attempted to reach out.
