OVI checkpoint planned for Friday canceled due to inclement weather
The checkpoint will be rescheduled for a later date, but that date has not been determined yet.

An OVI checkpoint scheduled for Friday night in Mahoning County has been canceled due to inclement weather.
The checkpoint was supposed to take place on Friday, April 25, but the Mahoning County OVI Task Force says that checkpoint has since been canceled due to inclement weather.
The checkpoint will be rescheduled for a later date, but that date has not been determined yet.
A 1990 Supreme Court ruling said holding sobriety checkpoints without first notifying drivers would violate the Constitution's provision barring illegal search and seizure.
The ruling did not spell out what was considered an adequate notification.
