The numbers are in and Columbiana County is ranked among the top 10 Ohio counties in the 2025 spring wild turkey hunting season.

In total, Ohio hunters checked 4,281 wild turkeys during opening weekend with Columbiana County ranking ninth in counties with the most wild turkeys checked during that time.

Columbiana County saw 109 wild turkeys checked opening weekend, which took place April 19 and 20. Meanwhile, Mahoning County saw 84 wild turkeys checked during that time.

There were no wild turkeys checked in Trumbull County opening weekend since hunting season doesn't start there until Saturday, May 3. Wild turkey hunting season lasts until May 18.

These results do not account for the youth-only weekend that took place April 12 and 13.
