21 News nominated for 5 Emmy Awards

21 News has been nominated for five Emmy Awards by the Central Great Lake Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, which recognizes television news excellence for broadcast stations in northern Ohio, central and northeastern Indiana and Erie, Pennsylvania.
21 News received the most Emmy nominations of any broadcast station in the Valley, including two nominations for its in-depth investigative series, "101 West;" also nominated for coverage of the May 28 Realty Building explosion in downtown Youngstown.
21 News anchor Derek Steyer is also nominated for his multi-part look at voting in the Valley.
