Football standouts from Mahoning Valley getting opportunity at NFL

A few football players with ties to the Mahoning Valley are getting the opportunity to live their dream of becoming an NFL player.
The 2025 NFL Draft wrapped up in Green Bay Saturday but players that did not hear their name called during the 257 picks are free to sign with teams as undrafted free agents.
Here's a look at the local players hoping to make an NFL roster:
Kay'Ron Lynch-Adams signs with the Carolina Panthers
Kay'Ron Lynch-Adams played for Steve Arnold at Warren Harding High School, running for 1,710 yards and 18 touchdowns as a senior in 2018. He committed to play at Rutgers, transferred to UMass and spent his last season with Michigan State.
He ran for 2,537 yards and 18 touchdowns during his collegiate career and led the Spartans in rushing this season with 649 yards.
Michigan State posted on X confirming Lynch-Adams' signing.
Jaison Williams signs with the New York Giants
Youngstown State offensive lineman Jaison Williams has signed a deal with the New York Giants according to YSU Football's Facebook page.
Williams went to Trotwood Madison High School in Montgomery County, Ohio before joining the Penguins in 2019. He played a number of positions across the offensive line during his time at YSU, including left tackle, right guard and right tackle.
Redd Douglas signed as rookie minicamp invite with New York Giants
Williams will be joined by former Chaney High School standout Redd Douglas in New York.
Douglas signed with the Giants for rookie minicamp following his final college season at Findlay. Prior to joining the Oilers, he played at the College of Wooster and Shippensburg University as a wide receiver and return specialist.
He finished his final year at Findlay with 43 catches for 573 yards and four touchdowns. He also returned 24 kicks for 586 yards.
