According to a release from the Division of Cannabis Control, a product alert has been issued for one lot of cannabis-infused gummies sold in Hubbard and East Liverpool that contained an undisclosed ingredient.

The gummies affected are listed as follows:

  • Name - Strawberry Banana Local Edibles Ohio Cannabis Infused Gummy
  • Purchase Dates - February 18, 2025 to March 12, 2025
  • Product ID - M00001154318: Edib Oral Admin 54-10 Gummy - Strawberry Banana
  • Affected Lot - 1A407030000332D000004113
  • Date Manufactured - February 4, 2025

The gummies were processed by Farmaceutical RX, LLC, license number #CCP000045-00 under the Local Edibles Ohio brand.

According to the alert, the processor used an ingredient - "edible glitter" - that was not disclosed on the product label or the product item registration within the state inventory tracking system.

In addition, the processor was unable to provide evidence that the ingredient was obtained by a licensed and regulated source according to the alert.

Edible glitter may be used as in ingredient as long as it is disclosed and properly sourced from a license and regulated entity.

According to the alert, the presence of the ingredient does not constitute a health hazard.

Farmaceutical RX has pulled all affected product off of dispensary shelves according to the release.

Dispensaries that sold the affected product included:

  • ACA Dispensary, 437 East Liberty Street, Hubbard
  • FRX Health, 1865 Dresden Avenue, East Liverpool

According to the release, although this is not a recall, patients or consumers who have a product that matches the lot and product ID are urged to discontinue use and either dispose of or return the remaining product to the dispensary of purchase for proper disposal and refund.
