GROVE CITY, Pa. - Pennsylvania State Police have charged a Mercer County woman in connection with the manhunt for a suspect in a violent Butler County home invasion.

Trisha McGinty, 45, of Sharpsville, is facing two counts of hindering apprehension or prosecution and obstruction of justice, according to state police.

The charges stem from the investigation into Dylan Hinchberger, 31, who was apprehended near Grove City on March 27 following a manhunt. Hinchberger is accused of breaking into a Washington Township, Butler County, home earlier that same morning, assaulting the 42-year-old resident with a firearm, stealing firearms, and fleeing in the victim's vehicle, which he later crashed. The victim was hospitalized with serious head injuries.

According to police, the investigation led them to the Quality Inn in Springfield Township, Mercer County, where Hinchberger was found with three people, including McGinty. Troopers believe the trio drove Hinchberger to the hotel from a home on Barkeyville Road in Pine Township, Mercer County.

State police allege that McGinty provided misleading information to troopers at the Quality Inn as they attempted to take Hinchberger into custody. This allowed Hinchberger to flee from a second-story window into a wooded area before being apprehended after a foot pursuit aided by a police helicopter.

Authorities also discovered that McGinty allegedly assisted Hinchberger by hiding his vehicle at the Barkeyville Road residence before arranging transportation to the hotel.

McGinty is scheduled for arraignment in June.
