Several road closures, lane restrictions to hit Mahoning County next week

Road closures and lane restrictions will take place in several different Mahoning County communities next week. Below you will find a list of all construction projects and the impacts they will have on traffic.
Beginning Monday, May 12 in Youngstown paving operations are set to begin on Mahoning Avenue between Meridian Road and I-680. Drivers should expect lane restrictions and delays and are asked to use caution in the area.
Paving is expected to be completed by the end of June. Detours will be posted accordingly.
Also begnning Monday, Buckeye Circle in Youngstown will be closed between the intersections of Loveland Road and Mohawk Avenue for the placement of a crane to remove a dead tree from Buckeye Park.
This is part of the Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corporations tree removal program.
The closure will begin at 8 a.m. and last approximately eight hours. Detours will be posted accordingly.
Meanwhile in Ellsworth Township, Ellsworth Road will be closed between Route 224 and South Bailey Road beginning Tuesday, May 13 until Wednesday, May 21 for culvert replacements.
The detour will be Route 224 to South Bailey Road to Ellsworth Road. Overnight closures are possible.
Finally, Southeast River Road in Milton Township will be closed between Ellsworth Road and Palmyra Roadbeginning Wednesday, May 14 until Thursday, May 15 for tree removal.
This closure will only take place during work hours and there will be no overnight closures. The detour will be Palmyra Road to SR-534 to Ellsworth Road.
