Full Spectrum provides update following resignation of several board members

Earlier this week, 21 News reported that Full Spectrum Community Outreach Center had several board members step down causing several events to be postponed.
Now, the non-profit is providing an update on where the situation stands.
According to a statement posted to Full Spectrum's Facebook page, the organization has retained two outside companies to help fulfill its mission of building an outreach center for local LGBTQIA+ members to thrive as healthy, equal and complete members of society.
The addition of these two services to the organization's daily operations will allow it to continue that mission.
One of these outside companies is Rosemary Staley of Jewels Professional Bookkeeping. Staley is currently reviewing, balancing and updating all previous and current financial information.
She is also responsible for all bookkeeping aspects for the organization including accounts payable and receivable, as well as all banking transactions on a day-to-day basis.
Staley will generate a monthly Statement of Activities for the public for full transparency, which will include a breakdown of Full Spectrum's monthly financial information. These statements will be posted to Full Spectrums social media pages.
The other outside company is Christina Turner of Christina Turner Accounting. Turner has been recruited to keep the organization current with its previous taxes and accounting difficulties and to keep the organization in compliance with all state and federal forms and obligations going forward.
Turner has filed the organizations 2022-23 taxes and has filed an extension for its 2023-24 taxes, which are now due July 16 in order for the organization to retain its non-profit status.
"When the previous accountant departed, we unfortunately assumed these issues were handled appropriately and on time before their exit. We have spoken to the Ohio State Attorney General's Office and according to their representative, our non-profit status is currently current, active and we are authorized to accept donations," the statement reads.
"We acknowledge and accept that the non-compliant/tax issues fall squarely on the Executive Board. We failed to follow up to ensure the former accountant did the job they were hired and paid to perform. These types of mistakes will not be duplicated going forward," the statement continues.
The organization says future updates will be posted to its social media pages once they are available.
