Rock singer Billy Joel has canceled all of his remaining tour dates including a date in Pittsburgh following a brain disorder diagnosis.

According to a statement posted to Joel's Facebook page, the singer has been diagnosed with Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH), which according to Cleveland Clinic is a condition that happens when cerebrospinal fluid builds up inside the skull and presses on the brain.

Cleveland Clinic says this condition is common in people age 65 and over. It is treatable and sometimes reversable.

According to Joel's statement, the singer's recent performances have exacerbated his condition leading to problems with hearing, vision and balance.

Because of this, Joel is undergoing specific physical therapy and has been advised not to perform during his recovery period.

"I'm sincerely sorry to disappoint our audience and thank you for understanding," Joel said.

Joel was scheduled to perform alongside Rod Stewart at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh July 5. If you've purchased tickets to this show or any other canceled show, you do not need to take any action, as you will automatically be refunded.
