AUSTINTOWN TWP., Ohio - "The Wall That Heals," a three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, is scheduled to arrive in Warren on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, kicking off a six-day visit. A motorcycle escort will accompany the mobile memorial.

The lineup for the escort is set for 1 p.m. at The Lube in Austintown, with departure at 2 p.m. and arrival in Warren at 3 p.m. The replica and an accompanying Education Center will be on the south lawn of Packard Music Hall, open to the public 24 hours a day at no charge through Sunday, June 1.

The exhibit honors the more than 3 million Americans who served in the Vietnam War and displays the names of the 58,281 service members who died in the conflict. Setup for the exhibit begins Wednesday, May 28, at 9 a.m., followed by a volunteer orientation at 4 p.m.

An opening ceremony is planned for 6 p.m. Thursday, May 29. Other scheduled events include a "Kids Day" on Friday, May 30, from 1-3 p.m., and a "Medal of Honor: A Tribute to the Fallen" event on Saturday, May 31, at 2 p.m. The exhibit will close at noon Sunday, June 1. Veterans' resources will be available daily in the Shelter House starting at 9 a.m.

"Hosting The Wall That Heals provides an opportunity to honor and remember all those who served and sacrificed in the Vietnam War and educate visitors on the continuing impact of the Vietnam War on America," Jim Knotts, president and CEO of Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, said in a release.

The 375-foot-long replica stands 7.5 feet tall at its highest point. The mobile Education Center includes photos of local "Hometown Heroes" and Vietnam veterans honored through VVMF's "In Memory" program, videos about the Wall's history, educational exhibits, and a replica of the In Memory plaque.

Local sponsors for the event include The Warren Heritage Center, the DeBartolo York Foundation, and the Military Order of the Purple Heart Chapter 606.
