Youngstown man pleads guilty to crash that killed 12-year-old boy

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A Youngstown man involved in a crash that claimed the life of a 12-year-old boy in 2023 has pled guilty.
An employee with Judge Maureen Sweeney's court tells 21 News 32-year-old Brandon Kennedy pled guilty to felony charges of aggravated vehicular homicide and vehicular assault during a pretrial hearing Wednesday morning.
The charges stem from a crash that occurred on Youngstown's north side at the intersection of Juanita and Alameda Avenue killing a 12-year-old boy back in November of 2023.
Police say Kennedy was driving the car with the 12-year-old in it at a high speed and did not stop at a stop sign, in turn causing the crash.
Kennedy was indicted and arrested in connection with the crash the following November.
Kennedy is scheduled to be sentenced on July 11.
