The first day of meteorological summer was Sunday, but it didn't quite feel like summer outside. Temperatures will be much closer to average on Monday, helped along by a good deal of sunshine. Highs will reach the mid-70s in most spots, a nice improvement on the past couple of days.

Canadian wildfire smoke high in the atmosphere could lead to the skies looking a bit hazy Monday afternoon, but smoke looks to have more of an impact on Tuesday. Tuesday afternoon will see temperatures return to the 80s for the first time since mid-May with some more sunshine.

Wednesday could be our warmest day of 2025, with high temperatures in the mid-80s. Skies will remain mostly sunny during the day before clouds start to move back in Wednesday evening. A shower cannot be ruled out overnight as our next storm system slowly approaches from the west.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible on both Thursday and Friday with a mix of sun and clouds. Temperatures will remain above average in the upper 70s to low 80s. A shower or two could linger into Saturday morning, with clouds decreasing later in the day.
