YOUNGSTOWN -  The Carl Nunziato VA Clinic will host its first annual Vet Fest on Saturday, June 7, offering veterans, active-duty military members, and their families direct access to Department of Veterans Affairs representatives and community resources.

The event, scheduled from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the clinic, located at 1815 Belmont Ave., will provide opportunities for attendees to learn about and enroll in VA healthcare and other benefits. Staff will be available to answer questions regarding eligibility and the enrollment process.

The Vet Fest will also offer updates on the PACT Act, a law signed in 2022 that expands VA health care and benefits for veterans exposed to toxic substances during their military service. This includes veterans exposed to burn pits, Agent Orange, and other hazardous materials.

In addition to information on VA services and the PACT Act, the event will feature vendor tables from various VA departments and community organizations, children's activities and live music.

The event connects veterans, active-duty service members, and family members with the Department of Veterans Affairs and community partners in one convenient location.
