Report identifies motorcyclist killed in Warren crash

WARREN, Ohio - A motorcyclist killed after his motorcycle collided with a pick-up truck in Warren has been identified.
A crash report identified the motorcyclist as 55-year-old John Obermiyer of Warren.
Police said the crash occurred shortly before 6:30 p.m. on Monday when the pick-up truck was driving along Comstock Street NW and pulled onto North Park Avenue, colliding with the motorcycle.
Police say the crash happened when the driver of the pickup truck ran a stop sign.
Obermiyer was thrown from his bike and was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The crash report reveals the motorcycle was not using any safety equipment at the time of the crash.
It is unclear if any charges will be filed against the pickup truck driver. Court records do not show any charges filed at this time.
