Ohio Attorney General meets with Insight to discuss plan for reopening Trumbull hospitals
WARREN, Ohio - Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost recently met with Insight Health Systems to discuss the plan for reopening two hospitals in Trumbull County.
According to a news release sent on Friday, Yost met with Insight Tuesday, June 3 to discuss their plan to reopen Trumbull Regional Medical Center, as well as Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital in Warren.
Yost is quoted in the release praising Insight for its plan saying it is a "major step in the right direction" for Mahoning Valley.
"Bricks and mortar alone don't save lives, which is why these hospitals need to reopen, fully staffed and fully operational and fully licensed and accredited. Our meeting with Insight's leadership team provided fruitful discussions on how the AG's Office can work with them to facilitate full operational control," Yost said.
The release does not provide any details of what exactly the reopening plan is or give a time frame for when these hospitals could potentially reopen.
