Gas prices in northeast Ohio see small increase on average

Ohio & Mahoning Valley - The price of gas in northeast Ohio has risen by 11 cents on average this week, with the average price being at $3.064 per gallon, according to AAA East Central's Gas Price report.
That number is still lower than the national average, which sits at $3.12 per gallon but is higher than the state average price of $3.004 per gallon.
Ohio ranks 22nd currently in highest gas prices in the United States of America, with California having the highest average price of $4.703 and Mississippi having the lowest average price at $2.628.
Youngstown's average gas price is currently $2.994 per gallon, while Niles is at $3.030 per gallon. The highest average gas price in northeast Ohio is in Aurora, with an average rate of $3.199 per gallon.
Additionally, the Energy Information Administration (EIA) reports that gasoline demand decreased from 9.46 million barrels per day last week to 8.26 million.
EIA also reports that America's crude oil inventory has decreased 7% below the five-year average for this time of year. West Texas Intermediate fell to $62.85 a barrel, a 56-cent decrease.
