Route 170 closure rescheduled in Unity Township

State Route 170 in Columbiana County will close for 21 days starting June 23 for a culvert replacement project.

UNITY TWP., Ohio - The closure of State Route 170 in Columbiana County for 21 days originally slated to start Monday has been rescheduled.

The closure, which was originally set to begin Monday, June 23 has now been moved to Monday, July 7. The closure will be for a culvert replacement project.

The closure will affect the stretch of Route 170 from Heck Road to Dickson Road. ODOT estimates that between 2,200 and 2,700 vehicles use this section of road daily.

The official detour will direct traffic north on State Route 14 to State Route 165, then north on Route 165 to State Route 617 east, and finally east on Route 617 back to Route 170. The reverse will be used for southbound traffic.
