Save A Lot returning to former Hubbard location

HUBBARD, Ohio - In what looks like a game of musical chairs, a grocery store that was replaced by another store earlier this year is returning to the City of Hubbard.
Signs posted on the doors of what was until recently the Price Cutter store on West Liberty Street say the store is closed and a Save A Lot store will open soon.
Hubbard Mayor Ben Kyle tells 21 News the closure of Price Cutter has to do with a legal issue between Price Cutter and Save A Lot. The exact nature of this legal issue is unclear, but Mayor Kyle says this issue has nothing to do with the landlord of the property.
The Price Cutter has only been open since Valentine's Day in the building, which until April of last year was home to Save A Lot. Mayor Kyle says the Save A Lot should reopen by July 1.
The former Save A Lot was permanently closed last April after court records showed that the store owner owed the landlord more than $400,000 in unpaid rent.
