LISBON, Ohio - A Youngstown woman has been charged with soliciting prostitution following an undercover operation by the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force, an arrest that stands out among the task force's typical stings that predominantly have targeted men.

A 24-year-old Youngstown woman was arrested and charged with soliciting, a third-degree misdemeanor.

According to an affidavit filed in Columbiana County Municipal Court, a task force agent stated that the woman posted an advertisement on a website known for prostitution solicitation. She allegedly solicited an undercover agent, posing as a sex buyer, for two acts of sexual conduct for $400.

The affidavit further states that the woman drove to Salem last week to meet the undercover agent for sexual conduct.

The woman is scheduled for arraignment on June 30 at 8:30 a.m. in Columbiana County Municipal Court.

The Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force typically conducts undercover operations in Columbiana County almost weekly, with most arrests being men.
