Brenda began her career in Hubbard Township in 2007 working part time. She was promoted to full time by former police chief Tood Coonce in 2010.
From there, she worked midnight turn for the next 10 years until moving to the Hubbard City Police Department in 2020 where she worked as a patrolwoman until she was promoted to Sargeant by Chief Robert Thompson.
She was also elected by her peers to the position of FOP Lodge #132 President in February of 2024.
The post from the Hubbard Township Police Department states that Freeman brings invaluable knowledge of legal procedures, administrative experience and leadership to her new position.
"Brenda's attention to detail and enthusiasm toward tackling new goals will move our department in a positive direction that will serve the residents of Hubbard Township and the Hubbard community as a whole," the post reads.
