Final celebration honors legacy and history of Caffe Capri

BOARDMAN, Ohio - One final celebration marked the beginning of the end for a local Italian restaurant.
"Caffe Capri: A Night to Remember" was an opportunity for guests to not just say goodbye, but to honor and reminisce on the restaurant's nearly 30-year history in the Valley.
The sold out event included a dinner buffet as well as live entertainment.
A portion of funds made from the night will benefit the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley.
Ron Quaranta Jr., co-owner of Caffe Capri Italian Bar & Grille, says he and his entire family cannot thank the Valley enough for their love and support, and wanted tonight to be a way to show that.
"My family and I are very grateful to the community for all of the years of support and I felt that this would be a great way for us to give back," said Quaranta Jr.
The property of the Boardman staple was recently sold to #1 Cochran, which owns multiple surrounding car dealerships. It is unclear what the company's plans are to do with the building or the property.
Caffe Capri's final day of operation will be Sunday, June 29.
