Healthy Hearts and Paws Project offering reward in dog abandonment that killed two

WARREN, Ohio - According to Jason Cooke, President and Founder of The Healthy Hearts and Paws Project, a reward is being offered in the case of three abandoned dogs that were found by Warren City Police Department on Friday.
According to Cooke, a reward of $3,000 is being offered by The Healthy Hearts and Paws Project for anyone who has information that may lead to a suspect.
Cooke was contacted on June 27 to assist the Warren City Police Department with a report of three dogs that were found in an abandoned church parking lot. Two of the dogs, locked in crates, were dead.
The third dog was determined to be in critical condition and was taken to an animal hospital. It was later confirmed that the dog had survived.
The third dog that was found at the scene survived and was named "Horner" after the Warren City Police officer that found him.
Horner, according to Cooke, is "doing well" after receiving fluid, antibiotics and a Vitamin B12 injection.
Pictures from Cooke's Facebook page show what kind of collars the two dogs were wearing at the time of being found.

Additionally, according to the Facebook post from Cooke, he suspects that the dogs were transported in a larger SUV or a pick-up truck.
Cooke also suspects in the post that the dogs could have been possibly placed there during the night between June 24 and June 25.
According to Cooke's post, the only entrance point to where the dogs were located is off of Martin Luther King Boulevard.
Cooke suspects that the vehicle either came from the north or south on Martin Luther King Boulevard or crossed over that street from Deemer Park.
Anyone with information on who the dogs may have belonged to, have cameras on Martin Luther King Boulevard or saw anything suspicious during the suspected time the dogs were dumped is encouraged to call the shelter or Animal Control at 330-646-4618.
