New public art on display in downtown Sharon

SHARON Folks walking or driving through downtown Sharon may come across some new vibrant pieces of art that have recently been installed.
The pieces shown in the image above are just part of the "Nature's Gallery" collection of more than 40 paintings made by the Random Acts of Artists Inc. (RAA).
RAA is a nonprofit organization that beautifies everday spaces and brings life to communities through pieces of artwork.
The display is just one of several art series that can be found throughout the city of Sharon. Others are located on North Sharpsville Avenue, East State Street, the Community Library of the Shenango Valley and in Rivers Garden Park.
"Nature's Gallery" can be found along West Connelly Boulevard, across from the Sharon City Building.
The paintings were brought to life through twenty artists who Terry Polonsky, President of the RAA, commends for generously donating their time to create such pieces.
"I am very pleased to have so many artists working together for one common goal while highlighting each of their individual talents and visions," Polonsky said.
A brief presentation of the display will take place during the WaterFire event on Saturday, July 26.
