BOARDMAN  If you had a favorite bar stool at a restaurant that served the Mahoning Valley for nearly three decades, there’s an opportunity to bring it home with you.

The fixtures and equipment from Caffe Capri will be sold in an online liquidation auction conducted by Basinger Auctions. Bidding for the auction begins Tuesday, July 7, 2025, and concludes Tuesday, July 22, 2025.

The restaurant, located at 8000 Market St., ceased operations at the end of June. The Quaranta family, who owned Caffe Capri since its establishment in 1996, cited challenges, including those brought by the COVID-19 pandemic, as factors in their decision to close.

The property has been sold to #1 Cochran, a regional automotive dealership group. The company has not publicly announced its plans for the building or the land.

Items available for bid include commercial stoves, refrigeration units, booths, tables, chairs, bar stools, dinnerware, shelving, decor, light fixtures, barware, food preparation equipment, a mixer, and a slicer. Bidding for each item begins at $1.

The final bidding will conclude Tuesday, July 22, starting at 6:30 p.m., with items closing at a rate of four per minute.

Purchased items must be picked up on Thursday, July 24, Friday, July 25, or Saturday, July 26, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. each day. Buyers will schedule their pickup times online.
