FirstEnergy: Power mostly restored after Monday’s storms

The number of power outages in the Mahoning and Shenango Valleys is continuing to decrease after Monday’s storms knocked down trees and wires, cutting electricity to 400 homes and businesses.
As of 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, FirstEnergy reports a total of 14 outages in Mercer County, Pennsylvania. The bulk of those outages comes from West Middlesex, who is reporting 10 outages. Shenango Township is still reporting three outages, and Mill Creek Township is reporting just one.
In Ohio, power has been largely restored in Mahoning, Trumbull, and Columbiana counties since the previous update with only nine outages reported in Trumbull County. Eight of those come from Hubbard Township and one lone outage remains in Liberty Township.
This marks an improvement from Monday evening's reports, which indicated over 400 customers initially without power across the Mahoning and Shenango Valleys, including 59 in Mahoning County, 342 in Trumbull County, 327 in Columbiana County, and 143 in Mercer County.
Crews have worked through the night to address the widespread disruptions.
