MAHONING & SHENANGO VALLEYS - Road work crews have a busy Monday lined up with multiple projects across three counties.

In Mahoning County, E Calla Road in new Middletown will be closed at State Route 170 through late July.

State Route 170 southbound in Springfield Township will close just north of E Calla Road through the end of the month as well.

U.S. Route 62 just west of State Route 11 in Canfield Township will close between Monday and Saturday for a culvert replacement. The detour for that area is U.S. 62 to U.S. 224 to State Route 625 to U.S. 62.

In Trumbull County, State Route 7 just north of Chestnut Ridge Road will close between Monday and Friday for culvert work. The detour is U.S. 62 to State Route 82.

Perkins Road between Hoagland Blackstub Road and Larchmonth Avenue in Bazetta Township is closing beginning Monday through Friday, September 19, for a sewer project. The detour for the closure is southeast on Hoagland Blackstub Road to Elm Road to State Route 5/82 to Larchmont Avenue.

A safety improvement project in Mercer County on more than five miles of Interstate 80 is also scheduled to start Monday.

The portion of I-80 is in East Lackawannock Township and Lackawannock Township and includes paving patches, guardrail improvements and new road paint.

The project will continue through the 2026 construction season.
