WARREN The Community Foundation of Mahoning Valley (CFMV) and the City of Warren have come together to invest a large sum of money to organizations that benefit the city.

This $600,000 contribution is made possible through the Foundation's knowledge in allocating funds along with the city's federal funding through the American Recue Plan Act.

The partnership between the two will be highlighted through the Warren Neighborhood Impact Fund and the Sixth Ward Neighorhood Impact Fund.

Since 2023, CFMV has granted funds to 20 different organizations through the Warren Community Impact Fund.

Additionally, since 2024, the Sixth Ward Neighborhood Impact Fund received $100,000 for 18 projects such as youth sports aid and community cleanup.

Warren Mayor Doug Franklin said with the help of the Foundation, constructive and beneficial impacts have been seen throughout the city.

“With the help of the Community Foundation, we were able to do a lot of neighborhood reinvestment. It’s been spread across Warren and really helped our partners have an impact in their community,” says Warren Mayor Doug Franklin. “It’s touched everything from roads, safety, quality of life and all of that."
