Motorcyclist killed in fiery crash with SUV in Shenango Township identified

SHENANGO TWP., Mercer Co., Pa. - Police have released the name of the man killed in a fiery motorcycle in Mercer County Monday evening.
Shenango Township Fire Chief Justin Barnes tells 21 News that a motorcycle and an SUV collided and caught fire around 6 p.m. Monday at Hubbard-Middlesex Road and Seig Hill Road.
The motorcyclist, identified as 28-year-old Cole Bundy of Sharpsville, was taken to a Farrell hospital where he was pronounced dead. According to a press release, the cause of death was ruled to be blunt force trauma to the chest and the manner was ruled to be homicide.
A passenger in the SUV was also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
Shenango Township Police Chief Jason Newton tells 21 News the investigation into the accident is in its early stages, and it is too early to say whether or not anyone will be charged.
The road was closed until 9 p.m. after the wreckage was removed.
