Former NFL quarterbacks Bernie Kosar, Brian Sipe and Cliff Stoudt were at the Lake Club for a fundraiser to benefit the YSU Women's basketball program.

Head Coach Melissa Jackson's father in law, Robert was a Browns lineman when both Sipe and Kosar played.

"To be here tonight with Cliff Stoudt and I remember sneaking down to Rayen Stadium to watch him play was great," said Kosar, who quarterbacked the Browns from 1985-1993.

Stoudt  was on the Steelers active roster for 56 games and never played a down.

" I say I tied Joe DiMaggio's record. He got a hit in 56 straight games and I never got hit in 56 straight games, " said Stoudt who played for the Steelers from 1977-1983 and played college ball at Youngstown State.

Sipe, who was the MVP in 198o was asked about the infamous, "Red- White 88 play" that cost the Browns a playoff win over Oakland.

"I told people that was a blessing for me. One New York writer told me two days after the interception it was going to be a good thing, and as time went on it turned out to be."
