TRUMBULL COUNTY, OH - A Masury man has been sentenced for assaulting two people.

According to the release, 32-year-old Michael Houser pleaded guilty Wednesday to two counts of fourth-degree aggravated assault felonies.

He was charged after an incident on August 30, 2024, in Weathersfield, where he was accused of assaulting two people on the trails in Honda Hills behind McKinley Lanes. One of the victims told Weathersfield police that he felt his neck was being cut with a sharp object. A second victim was hit with a metal pipe.

Both people were taken to the hospital.

Houser was originally indicted on charges of attempted murder and two counts of felonious assault.

He accepted the plea deal at the recommendation of his attorney and the prosecutor.

Judge Cynthia Rice sentenced Houser to 18 months in prison.
