Suspected drugs, money seized during New Castle narcotics search

NEW CASTLE, Pa. - According to a Facebook post from the Lawrence County District Attorney's Office, several items were seized during the execution of a narcotics search warrant at an apartment in New Castle, Pennsylvania.
According to the post, the search warrant was carried out on July 16, 2025 at an apartment in New Castle, located at 1324 South Jefferson Street.
Once entry was made into the apartment, the two alleged targets of the investigation named Joshua Coles and Deangelo Jones, originally from Michigan, were detained.
During the search, several items were located and seized, including:
- Four cellphones
- Three digital weigh scales containing suspected drug residue
- 31.6 grams of suspected cocaine
- $414
- A Mini Draco AK47 semi-automatic pistol, fully loaded
- A stolen Glock 23, .40 caliber pistol, fully loaded
- A Ruger 9mm pistol, fully loaded
Coles and Jones were lodged into the Lawrence County Jail and each are being held on $250,000 bond for their alleged role.
The following felony charges were filed against one or both of the suspects, including:
- Possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance
- Conspiracy to possess with intent to deliver a controlled substance
- Receiving stolen property
- Persons not to possess firearms
Members of the Lawrence County District Attorney's High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) Drug Task Force, DEA Group 66 and the Office of the Attorney General were all a part in the execution of the search warrant.
