Foxconn, the world's largest electronics provider and current owner of the former General Motors Assembly Plant in Lordstown, has announced a partnership with the Mahoning Valley Scrappers. The MLB Draft League team is one of the six founding members of the league and home games are played at Eastwood Field in Niles.

The Taiwanese company said it plans to present the Scrappers' 2025 season and sponsor five specialty jersey nights. Proceeds from the jersey nights will benefit local community organizations, Foxconn stated in a press release on Monday.

Additionally, Foxconn will sponsor the team's weekly "Every Sunday Matters" promotion, donating to local charities during each Sunday home game.

Foxconn's media spokesperson told 21 News that the following organizations will benefit from the sponsorship and events: Habitat for Humanity; Rich Center for Autism; Junior Achievement; United Way of Trumbull County; Abilities Unite Foundation.

In the press release, Foxconn stated that it is proud to partner with the Scrappers and looks forward to a great season of baseball.

"We pride ourselves on the communities in which we operate. We look forward to enjoying America's past time with thousands of those who call the Mahoning Valley home and who visit the Mahoning Valley," the company stated.

The season runs through September 3.
