Cleveland Hopkins to offer ‘Hangout Pass’ for non-ticketed guests

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Cleveland Hopkins International joins several other airports around the nation with a program that allows visitors to accompany friends to gates, greet arriving family members, or explore the airport's shops, restaurants, and amenities.
Starting Aug. 11, non-ticketed individuals will be able to access the inside of Cleveland Hopkins International Airport with the introduction of the "Hopkins Hangout Pass."
Applications for the digital pass will open Aug. 6. Applicants must use a Real ID or U.S. passport to apply.
The process involves an online application, which, after approval, will provide the applicant with a digital pass via email. Applications can be submitted no more than seven days before and no less than one day before a planned visit.
All applicants must provide their first and last name as it appears on their government-issued ID, gender, date of birth, email, and the reason for visit. Minors under 18 must have an adult listed on their application and must always be escorted by that adult during their visit.
Once approved, the Hopkins Hangout Pass will be valid for entry between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. on the scheduled visit day. Passes can be used at the North or South security checkpoints. Passholders are not permitted to use the Central TSA checkpoint, Pre-Check, or CLEAR lanes.
All applications are subject to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) review and approval, and the TSA reserves the right to deny any application.
Pass recipients are allowed to bring one personal item, such as a purse, small bag, or briefcase, which will be subject to TSA screening. All pass recipients must adhere to the same security regulations as ticketed passengers.
