GIRARD, Ohio - The Girard Police Department is asking anyone who has an emergency to call 330-545-0211 instead of 911, as its emergency phone system is down again due to a software update by the vendor.
The 911 lines were down in Girard for about a five-hour period on Thursday.
The issue began around 2 p.m. and was restored late Thursday night, but went back down Friday.
According to the department, the lines were down due to an issue with a computer update.
